About the physiotherapist
Tim Woodhead MSc., PGCert., BSc. (Hons.), MCSP
Tim is a Chartered Physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Bradford in 2000 with a BSc. (Hons.) degree in Physiotherapy. He has since undertaken postgraduate courses in Spinal Manipulation, Osteopathic Manipulation and Soft-Tissue Mobilisation, and gained further qualifications such as a Post-Graduate Certificate in Orthopaedic Medicine (Middlesex University, 2004) and a MSc. in Sports and Exercise Injury Management (Leeds Metropolitan University, 2004).
After initially working for the NHS in West Yorkshire for 2½ years, Tim began his career in Private Practice in West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester before relocating to Norfolk. He has also worked in professional Rugby League with the Huddersfield Giants, as well as working with elite athletes in Tennis, Swimming, Running, Athletics, Triathlon, Shooting, Archery and Rugby Union.
As well as Sports Injuries Tim also has an interest in Spinal problems and has had research published in the UK and Germany in the field of Spinal Manipulation, and acts as a reviewer for the Journal of Orthopaedic Medicine. His research has been used on the teaching syllabus by the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and also in promotional literature published by the Californian branch of the International Chiropractor's Association.
